A day of monsoon at Madyar

Sri Parashakthi temple of Madyar presents an absorbing sight during monsoon season with the unraveling of  nature’s beauty. It provides an occasion for the nature to present its attire in full blossom. The unfurling of flora spread across the length and breadth of the temple arena greet the visitor, inducing a sense of fulfillment in his mind. The roaring sound of rain dominates the serene surrounding of the temple, as if performing “jalabhisheka“ to Mother Nature here.

The neatly trimmed hedge plants along the pathway to the temple premises light up one’s energy on entering. Rows of jasmine plants ready for flowering bring beauty to the pulchritude. The coconut trees lined up by the side greet the devotees entering the kshethra.

The historic ‘ittikatte’ being wrapped around by thick grass lawn represents the tender care with which a mother cajoles the  child in her arms. This is true of the place where the sanidhyas ofJaganmathaas Vaishnaviand Lord Krishna as Yogeeshwara exist in the ittikatte. Variety of plants like jasmine, tulasi, sandalwood and others neatly spruced up all around the square enhance the serenity of the place.

The plantain grove next to the ittikatte looks awesome with its greenery and vastness. Swinging of the plants during raining invigorates the attentive viewer about the spirit of resurgence. It is heartening to see the banana bearing plants displaying nature’s fertility.

The garden leading to the “NavanathaPeetha” with variety of plants and creepers truly brings solace to the visitor, getting rid of everyday hassles.  It refurbishes the devotee towards climbing greater heights in life with vigour as he/sheascends up through the  steps .

The abundance of water in the lake and its purity represent the brimming of confidence and positivism (“Uthkarsha”) which the devotee experiences on his visit here.

The rasping attention to the nature experienced by the visitor on his way to the temple sanctorum will set the stage for true realization of the divine sannidhya .ShriParashakthisannidhyas in the sanctum sanctorum represent the unbounded nature.  Visiting the temple in such a backdrop will enlighten the devotee on divine philosophy.

The thunderous rain in resonance with the spiritual vibration prevalent in the kshetra  will liberate one of his ego and elevate his level of  inner conscience.
